Villa Dolce Valle is a wonderful starting point for discovering the treasures that the region abounds and multiplying the activities, experiences and adventures.
Located in the south-east of Sicily, the Dolce Valle is a short distance from the most beautiful baroque sites of the Val di Noto classified as UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Scicli, Noto. And a few kilometers from the nightlife and tourist port of Marina di Ragusa, close to seaside resorts, the archaeological remains of Kamarina, the splendid beach of Sampieri and Isola Delle Correnti.

Ragusa Iba : is famous throughout the world for its fifty churches, its numerous palaces, without forgetting the highest expression of Hyblean Baroque, the Cathedral of San Giorgio.   As you walk around, you will immerse yourself in a charming and welcoming atmosphere, full of history, whose real protagonist is the exuberant architectural style of Baroque.

 

Cava Miséricordia : departure on foot from the villa to discover one of the best preserved canyons in the region. Its particularities are numerous: unique botanical and geological curiosities, old mule trails, extremely diverse vegetation, rivers, pine forests and wild grasses. Let's not forget the richness of its fauna, the beauty of its river which we follow, its springs and its caves which enhance the walk. The discovery of old mills or the old convent also interests passing travelers.

 

The beaches : The splendid beaches of the South-East of Sicily are among the wildest on the island. Often enhanced by fine golden sand, these endless beaches can also appear in the form of small bays or discreet coves in the shape of a crescent moon. Some beaches are integrated into magnificent nature reserves. Don't also miss the unusual and wild beaches, access to which is only possible on foot or by boat. A true paradise for lovers of tranquility, the beauties of the sea, snorkeling…

 

The lake : Unusual and unknown to tourists, this artificial lake was created in 1950. Its rugged and wooded banks offer hundreds of places for a magnificent picnic. The freshness of the place and its ornithological richness make it an ideal place. The most incredible thing is the discovery of the old submerged houses... Guaranteed favorite!

 

Noto : Noto is one of the essential cities of the Sicilian Baroque. the Noto Antica was totally destroyed by theearthquake of 1693. Instead of rebuilding the town on its ruins, the new town of Noto was completely rebuilt 15 km away in the Baroque style.

 

Sicli : is a charming little town away from the traditional circuits, ignored by most tourists, quite wrongly, because it has a lot of character and preserves beautiful monuments of baroque architecture. Find the path up the hillside towards San Matteo Church, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the gorge, abandoned cave dwellings and the town below.

 

The lidos : If you like to relax at the beach, Sicily will fill you with happiness. Did you know that Sicily is the island with the largest number of beaches in the Mediterranean Sea, spread over more than 1,000 kilometers of coastline?
The variety of its beaches is astonishing: stretches of white sand, rocky bays, heavenly coves…
Some are set up as lidos, private beaches, offering you the opportunity to rent deckchairs and parasols, while others remain wilder. The options are numerous, but one thing is certain: Sicily's beaches are superb.

 

Marzamemi: A former fishing village, it is one of the most fascinating and authentic maritime towns in Sicily. Its specialty is tuna, built by the Arabs around the year 1000.
What so attracts passing visitors is the timeless charm of a place with a slow pace and picturesque decor. Let yourself be tempted by tasting an excellent granita or even enjoying an aperitif in front of a memorable sunset. And why not enjoy good Sicilian dishes, by the sea, in one of these colorful restaurants?

 

Cava Grande : is one of the most beautiful natural sites in south-east Sicily: flora and fauna flourish there, including more than thirty species of wild orchids. The canyon is formed by the Cassibile River, with its imposing limestone walls that fall steeply. Well-maintained and secure trails allow you to descend into the canyon and reach the Avola laghetti, a succession of small and large pools.

 

The Vendicari reserve : is located in an enchanting setting. Its dense vegetation, its clear sea, its fine sandy beaches (nesting places of the famous loggerhead turtles) make up all its richness. It is also the meeting point for hundreds of migratory birds, such as magnificent flamingos, storks, cormorants and many other species. The remains of ancient civilizations, such as the Greek, Byzantine and Swabian civilizations, complete this improbable and unforgettable setting.

 

The Necropolis of Pantalica : Travel through history and visit the island's countless ancient sites. Don't forget to take some time in one of its open-air Greek theaters located in Taormina, Syracuse, Pallazolo Acréide... A guaranteed favorite!

 

Modica : ""The village was a theater, a proscenium of red stones, a marvelous celebration. And what a smell of jasmine in the evening."" This is how the famous Italian writer Gesualdo Bufalino described it and this is how it presents itself to the visitor.
